There are 56 cards in the Minor Arcana, divided into 4 Suits times 14 Cards. Each suit is represented by a symbol, Pentacle, Wand, Cup, or Sword. There is a one-to-one correspondence between these symbols and the four elements of the esoteric science: earth, water, air, and fire.

5 of Swords

“There is no doubt about you being highly ambitious. But remember not to hurt others just because you want to win.“

This is the card of competition, reconciliation, and resolution. Depicting the image of a man with three swords in his hands and two lying on his feet, he is looking at two men walking with slumped shoulders; the card conveys the message of loss and sadness. The swords on the ground hint at a fought and lost battle. The scattered clouds also suggest that something is not right even after the war has been stopped.

The appearance of the five of swords card reveals that you are unhappy with what you have said or done. There may be a streak of regret in your heart and mind because your heated words have turned your relationships sour. Even if you have won the argument, deep down, you are not happy and satisfied with it.

The card suggests you pick up your battles yourself and not allow others to reign your life or decisions. You may feel tempted to fight and prove yourself right even when you can avoid conflict. Instead of feeling threatened or challenged, choose wisely when to speak and prove your point and when to leave silently because the battle is not worth participating.

Do not see others as a threat to your happiness or success. Decide what is essential for you a win for only yourself or mutual growth. Playing and winning for yourself may help you gain material wealth and fame, but you will eventually lose your relationships. It is better to amend than regret.

It also suggests that the period of conflict is over, and you are ready to move ahead with no baggage of the past. It is the time to start fresh and collaborate with others to create fertile ground for mutual success and growth.
