New Moon in Pisces
An absolutely magical New Moon rises close to Noon at 12.35pm EST on 2 March, 2022. There are a number of fascinating things about this New Moon, not least of all the repetition of numbers: the 2nd of the month, 2022, the fact that the Sun and Moon are both at 12 degrees, that Saturn and Mercury are also partile conjunct at 19 degrees of Aquarius, and that Mars, Pluto and Venus are all together at 27 degrees of Capricorn, another partile conjunction. Partile means “exact” and is very powerful cosmic moment for manifestation.
Usually, Pisces is a sign that can be called a little wishy-washy when it comes to taking action or physically manifesting their goals. Pisces are the dreamers of the zodiac, the mystics and the healers, living in the world between worlds. This New Moon is different, as the powerful connection between Pluto, Mars and Venus support the soft Pisces energy and allows our dreams to take root in the physical and material world. This lends us much more control over our future trajectory, and more power than we could have ever imagined. The universe is gifting us with a chance to take hold of our visions with both hands and pull them down into tangible reality.
So, what will you dream into life? What do you wish to create for yourself, and what needs to be released in order to make room for that? Remember, Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and so whilst this is a New Moon, a time for intention setting and new beginnings, it’s also a time of release. Perhaps it’s certain emotions that need to be surrendered, old experiences or an attachment to ego and the power we think we have. Jupiter is particularly powerful in his ancient home sign of Pisces, and thus, with this New Moon is a sense of joy and hope for the future. Anything seems possible, and that’s because it actually is – with the right planning and the willingness to transform. The tenderness of Pisces is being boosted with the edge from the Mars Pluto conjunction. We not only have the dream, but we have the willpower and ruthless energy needed to see it through these next few months.
Of course, there’s always a dark side to the Moon, to a New Moon. After all, she is hidden from our view and living in the shadows. The connection of Pluto to Venus and Mars may indicate dark ambitions, and Pisces also has the ability to dance with smoke and mirrors at times, obscuring the truth. It’s important to avoid falling into these potential shadows or into deception and stay on the side of the light. We also have to find the sweet spot between control and surrender. Pisces, as the two fish swimming in opposite directions, can go either way -towards the light, or towards the dark. Being one of the most spiritual signs of the zodiac, Pisces has much power in their hands, and our intentions have to align with our own highest good, as well as the highest good of others.
