Saturn in Aries

Wake Up and Lead Yourself

Saturn, planet of lessons, obstacles, delays and evolution fulfills its role as the universal keeper of time by carefully weighing out decisions and holding fast to plans and long-term goals. The sign of Aries burns very hot, brimming with instinct and impulsivity and tends to not be very hospitable to Saturn as a result. It’s very important that we not get swept up and keep our eye on the long game through this transit.

On a personal level, this is all about refining our instincts and “keeping our head,” as Aries rules over the cranium in medical astrology. When Saturn moves into Aries we can realize that we have been disconnected from our instincts as well as disconnected from ourselves because of different influences that become clear upon Saturn’s ingress out of the dreamy sign of Pisces and into the sign of Aries for the first time on May 24th, 2025. Throughout this transit, we are reconnecting with all parts of ourselves: the good, the bad and the unsavory. This reconnection allows our instincts to come fully online.

Collectively, it seems people in the world are seeking strength in their leadership more than ever, but Saturn in Aries may correlate with leaders being unnecessarily punitive, coming up short, or leading people astray. This is one of many reasons why it is so important to connect with your own sense of authority, leadership and self-governance. Piercing discernment and critical thought will emerge from this transit after many years of various Pisces transits.

A trend that emerges when Saturn is in Aries historically is a struggle between political ideologies such as nationalism and facism versus globalism and communism. Aries is ruled by Mars, the warrior, so we can anticipate an increase in war and police through this transit. In a sense, this is the “find out” stage after Saturn transited Pisces and we saw a lot of systemic neglect of important issues that bubble over during Saturn’s transit through Aries. Regulations, innovations and policies around military, law enforcement and weapons take center stage.

Men and masculinity have been experiencing a bit of a crisis the last several years that has come to a quiet peak since Chiron’s ingress into Aries in 2018. Men are going to rediscover their true masculinity, leadership and bravery throughout the next few years, correlating with the war drum becoming louder in the world. Male energy is going to become more valuable as its rarity becomes more noticeable. Men are asked to place their bodies on the line during times of war and must make a choice as to what they are fighting for, both officially and unofficially.

Our thick skin will be developing throughout this transit. Personally and collectively, the idea of becoming offended about what someone else feels, believes or says, will drop off quickly in favor of harsh truths and directness. The time and energy for politeness, niceties and delicateness will evaporate as we are called to say what we really feel and mean without overly considering the feelings of others.
