Calculation Method & Options

AstroMatrix calculates composite charts by finding the mathematical midpoint between each pair of corresponding planets using professional Swiss Ephemeris data.

Midpoint Method (Standard)

Each composite planet is the midpoint between both partners' same planets. If Partner A's Sun is at 5° Aries and Partner B's Sun is at 15° Libra, the composite Sun is at 10° Cancer.

Reference Place

For the Ascendant and house cusps, a reference place must be chosen — typically where the couple lives together, where they met, or a significant shared location.

Unknown Birth Time

If one or both partners lack exact birth times, use noon charts. You'll still get accurate composite planetary positions and the full Relationship Matrix — you'll only miss precise house placements.
