Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius

Mercury the messenger and planet of mental functioning and communication moves retrograde on January 14^th first through revolutionary and individualistic Aquarius and then shifts into responsible and focused Capricorn.

Mercury ruling the intellectual, analytical and organized signs of Gemini and Virgo, means that the areas of our lives which governs communication and though processing, will be impacted.

Capricorn ruled by Saturn rules boundaries and the density of reality. Where are we too rigid or controlling and unable to respond in a more forward thinking and humanitarian manner that is true to the healthier end of Aquarius.

We are given the opportunity to explore these possibilities before we retrograde back into Capricorn.

We have the potential to experience a more innovative and evolved way of perceiving our reality. When it stations retrograde, we get to reflect on these newly acquired principles for our lives before retrograding back into Capricorn and reviewing remaining rigidity and control or lack of responsibility for one last time. 

It is especially important to mention that Mercury passes over Pluto in Capricorn three times before and during this period. This creates a period of deep mental reflection. Pluto wants to get to the bottom of things where it gives a deep probing to the mind.

This period may bring to the surface mental struggles and obsession trapped in shadow that are needing healing. It may reflect destructive communication, dogma or aggression, or it may on the lighter side highlight a passionate and probing mind with deep enquiry into emotional motivations.

Regardless of how it plays out for us, this is a very powerful period of reflection providing us with the opportunity to explore what reality we envision for ourselves moving forward.
