Sun Conjunct Ascendant
The sun represents our vitality and our conscious ego, the self and its expression. It establishes our will to live and our creative force. It is associated with spontaneity and health. A well aspected Sun will describe a person who has heart, who cares for others both in general, and at the personal level. A poorly aspected Sun will describe a person who either has much more difficulty accessing this love and caring ability. In your chart the position of the sign represents your life purpose and style in which your make your mark in the world.
Sun Conjunct Ascendant
Sun Conjunct your Natal Ascendant makes you identify strongly with the image you present to others. You like to make an impression on others. This can make you self-conscious, but you never let that be noticed. You prefer to instead, as much as you can, project an unruffled image. You will feel at your best when you are able to make a mark on the world but, at the same time, avoid obsessing over what others think of you. You believe you are in control of your destiny. It’s never fate that decides things for you, it’s you. Through action in the world you guide your own ship through life, and you take any pessimistic comments that come your way as personal challenges. They even motivate you to push yourself harder than you would have had you not heard them. If the Sun is in the 12th house it may be a little harder to express yourself. You don’t always find the words you need and often suffer bouts of what the French call l’esprit de l’escalier, literally “wit of the staircase”, when you think of what you should have said in an interaction just after having left it. Your motivations and desires may be driven by mystical element hidden deep in your subconscious. More conscious exploration of the mystical could bring them out into the light. You are inclined to daydream about being an awe-inspiring leader, or the center of attention, but suffer a lot of self-consciousness and reluctance to actually throw yourself into the spotlight. It’s an interesting internal conflict, one worth resolving if you want to know better how to be in the world. Maybe you are afraid of people really seeing you when you haven’t yet truly seen yourself. Once you know and accept yourself, and all the good and bad you are capable of, then nothing others could see in you will scare you. Then you will be ready to lead.
