Gemini and the 3rd house have to do with communication and the way that we observed our parents communicate, so you often hear growing up phrases such as, “children are to be seen and not heard,” “speak only while spoken to,” “say this, not that,” and while our parents can sometimes mean well, as they are human also with human flaws, these messages can implant themselves in your ability to express yourself which can impede your expression as an adult. It’s common to have parents who have a quite strong influence over your mind with this placement, in addition to parents who aren’t engaging your mind. Siblings who bully are a fixture with Saturn here as well.

Early education often has a profound impact on you, and there are several ways that this can manifest. We see people who were denied access to early education or put into restrictive and limiting education systems… in a sense, the memorize and regurgitate model that has become prominent in the Western world and its significant effect on the mind and expression is extremely representative of this Saturn placement.

It’s also common to see children denied engagement with other children with this placement, such as children who were homeschooled in a rigid environment or who were told not to commune with the children in the neighborhood, for one reason or another. Experiencing learning disabilities or speech impediments is one way that this can demonstrate itself in your early life, both of which can be connected on an unconscious level to your parents encouragement, or lack thereof, of your innate expression.

One potential out of many is to become super diplomatic and actually embrace genius especially after your Saturn returns. It’s important not just to embrace education and knowledge, and to express from that space, but to also learn how to express your truth which also comes from qualitative and emotional experience. When you bridge the heart and the head, you can really become quite a brilliant thinker.

All of these challenges can definitely be overcome, through regularly engaging your mind in non-linear and multidirectional thoughts and ideas, regularly writing and speaking with others despite how challenging it can be. Talk therapy can actually be very beneficial for you with this Saturn placement. Above all, reinforcing to yourself through affirmations your innate and unique brilliance is imperative.
