Transit Aspects

Astrological transits are a part of what is usually called predictive astrology, the claim of astrology to predict or forecast future trends and developments. Most astrologers nowadays regard the term 'prediction' as something of a misnomer, as modern astrology does not claim to directly predict future events as such. Instead it is claimed that an astrological pattern with regard to the future can correspond with any one of a variety of possibilities. What is in fact foretold is the trend of circumstances and the nature of the individual's reaction to the situation

Mercury Transits

Mercury spends about a week in each natal house. During that time it affects your mental outlook, communications with others, and urges to take trips. When Mercury is in retrograde motion during its transit it may introduce delays in the affairs under its influence.

Mercury Square Natal Mercury

Communication will be important during this transit and with this square you may encounter some disagreements and communication breakdowns. You’ll likely feel somewhat scattered in your thinking, with your mind going in many different directions at once.
A common reaction to such a lack of mental clarity can be to cling dogmatically to an idea, to see everything through its lens. Another is to get into arguments in order to externalize the inner conflict you are suffering through.
Awareness of these tendencies can help you catch yourself if you’re in them, and awareness of your mind can help you catch the tendencies before they manifest.
When faced with decisions during this transit you will likely feel overwhelmed by the choices. Each option will seem to unravel so many possibilities that you can’t hope to ever have a clear picture of the pros and cons of each. It’s a difficulty of weighing the differing values of all the information that your faced with, but after this transit, you’ll be better able to handle it.
In the meantime, just doing something provisionally will help. Better to be concretely doing something right now, then having your mind spin around multiple options and getting nowhere.
