Houses

The 12 Houses of astrology are symbolic of the all the departments that make up human life. The planets and zodiac signs will manifest themselves most strongly in the sphere of life represented by the House in which they fall on your chart. Houses are not "energies" like the elements or planets, nor do they color the expression of energies like the zodiac signs do. The houses are WHERE these energies are most likely to manifest. The houses are the fields of experience, not the experience themselves.

Another transpersonal sign, Pisces asks that we bridge the gap between the here and the hereafter, to absolve oneself of the material and to participate more in the spiritual. This is not what is common in society to really do, so it’s very possible that with this in your chart, you feel a bit isolated, lonely or lost at sea.

A lot of the challenges you face are karmic in nature, the reverberations of which extend beyond our linear understanding of time. You may experience fears and guilts from prior lifetimes, even if you don’t exactly remember them, and feel like you are paying somewhat of a penance in this life, almost like you’re on a short leash with the Universe as far as what you can reasonably get away with. You are pulled to the path of service to others in this life, which can sometimes be thankless and can call you to sacrifice material ambitions.

It’s necessary for you to somehow delve into your unconscious experience, and your experience outside of this time and space. This is so that your unconscious fears and past life experience doesn’t eat you alive. When you come to a spiritual path that is authentic for you, that allows you to conceptualize and frame some of the experiences you have in this life, there’s a noticeable difference, almost like you’re able to fully exhale. Great pain may lead you into several ego deaths, which ultimately leads to inner serenity, wisdom, peace and spiritual connectedness, whatever the weather.

You may have had a parent with either mental illness, addiction of physical injury that you had to care for, or you may have spent a lot of time alone growing up. These experiences can be very alienating, so the trick is to attend to your spiritual life, healing and healing past life wounds because otherwise it’s very common for this type of upbringing to lead into escapism through drugs, alcohol or codependency.

The archetypes of victim, martyr and savior are very central to the traumas that we’ve incurred as a human race. These archetypes are what you’re working through as well, so you are a collective conduit, especially if other areas of your chart signify that. It’s imperative for you to learn healthy boundaries and layers of protection and to really fortify your inner father, otherwise you can wind up in some pretty dangerous situations.

You may find shamanic rituals such as authentic sweat lodges or burying rituals very beneficial, both of which have components of pushing yourself to the brink which forges surrender and trust in the universe and in yourself, which are helpful for you to have a peaceful life. Jungian archetypal work, energy medicine, quantum healing hypnosis and other forms of memory retrieval can all be very therapeutic for you as a person who is “in” this world but not “of” this world.
