Conceit
As a shadow-lens (not a fate), the ShadowExplainConceit can show up where we either over-identify with a “master narrative” or quietly defend against feeling ordinary, wrong, or unchosen. Notice where you may:
1) Relationships:
Project certainty onto love/friendship—needing to be “right,” or fearing to be fully seen without status.
2) Work & Direction:
Use achievement, intellect, or control to silence insecurity—choosing roles that prove worth instead of those that nourish.
3) Self-Image:
Manage self-esteem through perfection/competence; struggling with “not enough” feelings when performance dips.
4) Boundaries:
Overextend to maintain an image, or withdraw to avoid vulnerability—saying yes to keep power, or no to keep safety.
