Hoarding
Shadow of Hoarding (in a Greene-leaning lens): Hoarding can reflect an inner struggle with safety, scarcity, or control—sometimes rooted in fear that letting go equals loss, shame, or being unprepared. Instead of judging, look for what the “keeping” protects.
Ways it may ripple through life:
1) Home & relationships: tension may grow as others feel crowded, excluded, or blocked from sharing space.
2) Decision-making: choices can feel heavy—past goods “weigh” more than future needs, slowing progress.
3) Emotional regulation: accumulating can soothe anxiety, grief, or overwhelm temporarily, but may deepen stress later.
4) Identity & change: letting go may threaten self-concept (“I’m safe only if I keep”); transitions can feel unusually risky.
