With Transit Sun in the Second House, it’s a good time to reflect on your values. Focus particularly on your relationship to the consumer items in your life. Ask yourself why exactly you own the things you do, remember the state of mind you were in when you bought them, and reflect on the amount of work it took to be able to afford them. Our possessions can end up possessing us, but they don’t have to. New clothes can help us project an image of our ideal self into the world, but a constant obsession with them can leave us broke and feeling insecure regardless of we’re wearing. Your life is yours, don’t let your things dictate how you live it. You may be buying things just to make yourself feel good, but there are other, far cheaper, ways to achieve that. And remember, the ultimate realities are immaterial. Work is time and time is money, and during this period you may find yourself reflecting on how you trade one for other. Is work taking too much of your time? Are you not getting enough money for your time? It’s worth considering how you invest your money. Having something earning for you without having to give it your time… it’s a dream situation.
