Draconic Chiron Conjunct Mercury
Seeing truth through every fracture
Draconic Mercury conjunct Chiron means the mind is organized around woundedness from the start. This is not a gift waiting to be activated. It is a constitutional way of knowing. Thinking happens through damage. Systems are understood by their breaks. The wound is not something to overcome to access wisdom. The wound is the lens itself.
This can be intense in certain conversations and ineffective in others. This placement can walk into a room where someone is pretending everything is fine and feel the fracture underneath. It hears what is not being said. It notices the exact moment someone's voice changes when they lie. There is a tendency to spend hours crafting an email because the mind senses seventeen different ways the reader might misinterpret a single phrase. The mind does not move forward until it has mapped every possible injury the words could cause. This is not empathy. This is hypervigilance dressed as care.
The trap is believing this woundedness makes you qualified to heal others. It does not. Knowing where something breaks is not the same as knowing how to mend it. There is a tendency to position yourself as the one who understands pain, who can speak to it, who can help others find meaning in their suffering. What is actually happening is circling your own wound and calling it service. You may listen brilliantly to others' damage while remaining entirely unable to tolerate your own. Insight becomes a weapon. You make other people's pain legible so that you never have to make your own legible. You feel seen. You feel safe. The trade is that nothing actually heals for either of you.
Words have real power. They can wound or clarify depending on whether they are spoken from a fracture or from something that has actually moved through it. Right now, notice the difference between the conversations where you are translating someone else's pain and the conversations where you are avoiding your own. You feel like understanding. The other feels like escape.
