The Wheel of Fortune
The Wheel of Fortune, represented by an enormous spinning wheel, embodies the concept of time, fate, and karma. It symbolizes the perpetual motion of galaxies rotating around its circumference, while the twelve signs of the zodiac adorn its outer edges. On the inner side of the wheel, the eight trigrams of the I Ching reside, and closer to the center, the four directions are illuminated by the energy of lightning. At this moment, the spinning triangle points upward, symbolizing a connection to the divine, and at the heart of it all lies the Chinese symbol of yin and yang, representing the interplay of opposites.
Life is characterized by constant change, and the Wheel of Fortune reminds us of this eternal truth. Everything is in a state of flux, evolving, dying, and being reborn. The wheel encompasses all the dualistic aspects that make up our existence. By clinging to the edges of the wheel, we may find ourselves feeling dizzy and disoriented. However, if we move towards the center, embracing the stillness within the cyclone, we can find solace in the knowledge that all things shall pass.
Reflecting upon the Wheel of Fortune, consider the following question: How can you find balance and harmony within the ever-turning wheel of life?
