Crystals

The first historical references to the use of crystals come from ancient the Ancient Sumerians, who included crystals in magic formulas. The Ancient Egyptians used lapis lazuli, turquoise, carnelian, emerald and clear quartz in their jewellery. They also carved grave amulets of the same gems. The Ancient Egyptians used stones primarily for protection and health

Although no longer in use medicinally, gemstones continued to hold meaning. Until recently, jet was popularly worn by those in mourning, and garnet was often worn in times of war. There is a tradition in a local family here in southwest England: every female descendent wears an antique moonstone necklace for her wedding, which has been in the family for generations. It was only recently that one family member realised this was a fertility symbol.

In the 1980s, with the advent of the New Age culture, the use of crystals and gemstones began to re-emerge as a healing method. Much of the practise was drawn from old traditions, with more information gained by experimentation and channelling

Carnelian

Carnelian is the stone of self-esteem. It aids in developing and maintaining a healthy self-image. Its warm and friendly vibes make its wearer sociable and outgoing.

Wearing Carnelians makes you believe in yourself and your ideas and curbs the self-limiting beliefs. Its sparking energizing flames make you feel more connected to your life goals, desires, and dreams.

It is a stone of joy and self-empowerment that ignites your energy from within to inspire creativity in life.

Its vivacious creative edge gives it many names like The Singers Stone, The Artists Stone, and The Sun Set Stone.

This powerful healing crystal is connected to your root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras.

It balances your root chakra to ensure smooth energy flow in life. Your passion, intimacy, and inner fire reside in the sacral chakra. Wearing Carnelian awakens the zeal in life and regulates the energy flow from ground to naval.

Stimulating your solar plexus chakra, Carnelian calls your inner warrior into action to remove the blocks and amplify your talents.

It is Virgo's birthstone. Virgos are the creative passionates, and Carnelian kicks their imposter syndrome out to make them believe in the magic of originality.

It is also good for Leos because it matches well with their fiery spirit and makes them stay on track without falling prey to their ego and anger. You can wear it as a jewelry item or keep it on the south side of your home or office to bring harmony and balance.
