Full Moon in Capricorn

June’s Full Moon in Capricorn is, plainly put, heavy. La Luna is in her opposite sign here, making it hard for her to be truly vulnerable. What makes this more challenging is that a Moon in Capricorn yearns to be seen, to express its sensitivity — yet the walls are just a little too high, particularly with her square to Saturn, ruler of the cosmic Seagoat.

This Tough-Love teacher reminds us that sometimes we need grit, resilience and determination. There’s no time for crying over spilled milk now. If we’ve failed at something — be it a relationship, a career direction, a project or even just a conversation — our task is to rise above the situation and learn from it. We need to understand that making mistakes doesn’t make us a mistake.

We are not the sum of our failures. We are successful even if we’ve slipped, fallen short, or haven’t achieved what we set out to do.

Remember this.

We might have had grand expectations of ourselves at the start of the year when the New Moon in Capricorn dawned. Here, now, we see where we might have misconstrued our idea of success. Sometimes, it’s not external. In fact, most of the time, it isn’t.

Without emotional wellbeing and inner safety, the outer walls will never be sturdy enough to hold us. Our question here is: how can we do better next time? How can we ensure that self-care comes before any endeavour, even if we “don’t have time”? Neglecting nurturing has never done any of us any good. We can achieve all the goals, all the accomplishments, only to feel heavy, disappointed and alone. Achievement without support feels isolating.

Things won’t be entirely clear now either, with Neptune adding additional waves of confusion to this Full Moon. Self judgement is thick. Hope feels hard to find. Maybe we’re grieving, maybe uncertain. Sitting with our inner child and being very, very tender with them whilst moving through this fog helps us to feel safe, held and calmed. There’s no flaw in being vulnerable. It’s a sign of strength to know that we’re going through something. It’s okay to be both sensitive and strong. Essential, in fact.

There’s a way out. Saturn and Venus align to reflect a commitment to getting it right, to loving ourselves above others, to doing the hard work in order to get to the pleasure. Being the ruler of Capricorn, anything Saturn does is important and worth paying attention to. We’ll get back up again. We always do, somehow. There is beauty and sweetness in the world worth working towards. Still, there is work to be done. Noticing insecurities and asking from where they arise helps us to grow in maturity and wisdom. We’ve got this. We’ve always had it. We merely forgot for a brief moment.
