Full Moon in Gemini
December starts on an optimistic note, with a bouncy Full Moon in airy, intelligent Gemini on the 4th. It’s silly season - the season of closing chapters and preparing to start anew in 2027. This is the final clearing-out of energy for 2026, making it important to pause, slow down, and assess what needs to shift so we can enter the New Year on a fresh, clean slate.
Gemini energy is wild, chaotic, and restless. It’s clever, curious and open. This Full Moon brings the integration of knowledge gathered over the last several months, connecting back to the New Moon in May.
What seeds did we plant then?
Gemini energy can be unfocused, so it may be tricky to remember. Nevertheless, these seeds are maturing: it’s time for a harvest. Which knowledge can we put into use, and which facts or details have proven less than useful?
Balanced with the Sun in experience-seeking Sagittarius, the intention now is to blend knowledge with lived wisdom. We cannot have one without the other. Too much knowledge without experience leaves us dry with information, missing the feeling of the adventure. Too much experience without grounding facts leaves us untethered and scattered. This pairing is a beautiful polarity, a dance of matching opposites.
Fate steps in too, with this lunation. The Moon’s Nodes square the Luminaries, inviting mystery, past patterns coming to light and the potential to shift karmic baggage - albeit with some difficulty. This is where the ruler of Gemini, Mercury steps in.
In watery Scorpio, there’s depth to this Full Moon that allows for powerful processing. Opposite Uranus, surprises are likely, plans may shift suddenly and journeys may end even as new ones unexpectedly begin.
The biggest cosmic support during this Full Moon is the Grand Trine between Mercury, Jupiter, and the Saturn/Neptune conjunction.
This sensitive, empathetic, and soulful cosmic triangle signals ease and flow. It reminds us to trust that even if things change quickly, we are still likely to land in the Universe’s benevolent arms. Ideas are grounded yet visionary, expanding both our intuition and our logic. Life flows toward us with almost no effort. The only caution is complacency. Let us not take these gifts for granted. Any opportunity to expand our horizons, whether personal or professional, literal or metaphysical, is the key to success.
Venus dances close to the Sun and gently opposes La Luna, rounding this Full Moon’s events off with love, optimism, and hope. Sweetness is felt in all corners. Pleasure is our inheritance. Balancing security with desire is the work of our hearts. With this balance comes integration and even more love. In the end, we learn to let go - carefully - of what isn’t meant for us, with a sense of joy, openness, and curiosity for the future.
