Full Moon in Taurus

November 5th’s Full Moon is juicy.
With La Luna exalted in Taurus and the ruler of Taurus, Venus, in her home sign of Libra, the energies generated are sweet, romantic, sensual, and loving. It’s a Moon full of love, devotion, and connection. It shows us clearly which relationships to focus our energy on. It shines a light on all that we love, all the people we adore.
It’s also an invitation to balance peace with passion.

Taurus, where the Moon lies, is the harmoniser, the comfort seeker. Stability makes this sign feel safest. Directly opposite is the Sun in Scorpio, the sign that rules crisis and transformation. Scorpio feels fulfilled when there’s opportunity to shed the old and be reborn.
Thus, this might seem like an unlikely pair. Nevertheless, Taurus and Scorpio truly need each other. Some statistics show that romantic relationships with this zodiac polarity are often the longest-lasting, proving that these two can work together well. Of course, it takes enormous consciousness, strong inner awareness, hard work, understanding, loyalty, and a healthy dose of commitment through thick and thin to reach the highest expression of this pair.
Collectively speaking, this Full Moon shines a light on the areas that need to evolve versus the areas that need grounding. Where can we shed our skin, and what are we able to hold onto whilst doing so?
Strong pillars are needed for this process to happen. Family is one. Relationships are another. Our career is one. Financial security also provides the foundation we need, as does our home - all Taurean topics, and highly relevant.

With Venus in Libra, this calling for balance is even more emphasised. Her square with Jupiter indicates the tendency to go off-balance: to give too much or to take when we actually need to share. Where on the scales are we, and what needs to be brought back into alignment?
There’s more: Mars and Uranus form a direct opposition to each other, and even though these planets are not necessarily connected to the Moon, their energy is still electric and unpredictable. This plays an important role.

We may, very suddenly or shockingly, act out of character. We might abruptly change course without warning. Risks seem more attractive. This can shake the foundations of the security-conscious Taurus Moon, reflecting anxiety and a desire to regain control over the unknown.
Nevertheless, when we lean into the Scorpionic Sun, when we embrace uncertainty, we’ll find our power.

Again, re-connecting to what is secure—be that internal or external—will help us find that sweet spot between calm and chaos. There’s transformation to be experienced when we fully step into the unknown, knowing that we have our own backs, and that the inner (and outer) security we’ve created is the very thing that will carry us into the next chapter and support us in shutting doors that no longer resonate.
